This is the first holistic psychotherapy visit you will have with Dr. Ambardar in which she will review your full medical, psychiatric, psychosocial, and family history. Holistic Group Psychotherapy: Women's Self- Compassion + Happiness Group (Online)

Are you a woman whose heart has been wounded after years of putting other people’s needs and wants above your own? Do you find it hard to honor yourself and do what you really want? Have you been hurt by emotionally abusive familial, romantic, professional, or friendship relationships and are finally ready to heal? If so, our online Women's Self-Compassion + Happiness group (WSCH) may be an important step in your healing journey.

WSCH is a weekly online support group for women who are kind and compassionate to others, but have difficulty being kind and compassionate to themselves.

WSCH is an excellent adjunct to individual therapy and offers you the support and encouragement of a friendly group of like-minded peers. We will learn assertiveness, self-compassion, & self-esteem skills in a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment.

You will also learn how to value your voice, how to lessen codependent behaviors, and how to build a strong, loving relationship with yourself.

The group will combine therapeutic sharing with teaching (via handouts and worksheets). WSCH is kept intentionally small and membership is on a month-to-month basis.

WSCH meets online every Tuesday from 7:00-8:30 pm PST.

Fee: $100/weekly session. ($400/month)

Total monthly fee paid at the beginning of each month. Superbills for insurance reimbursement provided upon request.

"The quality of care I received from Dr. Ambardar was unlike any other doctor patient relationship I've ever experienced. Her calm, compassionate, and empathetic presence helped me navigate one of the darkest periods of my life. I came to Dr. Ambardar in a complete crisis, and over the years of us working together she helped me completely reframe and rebuild my mental health. The progress I've made since working with her has been astounding. I'll be eternally grateful for her support in processing and accepting some very challenging diagnoses. I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Ambardar to anyone in need of one of the best psychiatrists in LA. You won't be disappointed with her support."

“Dr. Ambardar maintains a true professionalism and calm that is not equaled by many of her colleagues. She has a quiet, unassuming demeanor, but underneath she is intelligent, hard working, and her psychiatric evaluations of patients are well thought out, organized, and sound. Sheenie is a good person. She is honest, decent, and fun. She is well liked by the faculty and staff. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Ambardar. She would be an asset to any faculty or medical school.”
